The Sinagoga del Tránsito houses the Sephardic Museum, showing the historical and geographic framework of the Jewish people.
Through the rooms and patios, the visitor is introduced to the beginnings, life and culture of the Sephardim from the Old East to Hellenistic culture, their arrival in Spain, life during Roman times and their relationship to the Visigoth culture as well as the Age of Gold, history in the Christian era, the Inquisition and their expulsion.
A permanent collection of more than 1,253 pieces takes us to their lives and customs and the patio houses an archaeological excavation related to water storage.
