The Madrid - Toledo toll motorway began construction in January 2005 and began functioning in December 2006.
The geometric characteristics adopted for the motorway trunk correspond to an A-120, placing it in motorway Group 1. According to Regulation 3.1-I.c. these are the following:

The motorway's core platform has a total width of 41 meters holding two 12.5 meter carriage ways and a 10 m central reserve. Each carriage way has a minimum 1 m outside berm, a 2.5 m outside hard shoulder, two 3.5 m traffic lanes, a 1 m inside hard shoulder and a 1 m inside berm.
The pavement on the motorway core is formed by an E-2 type levelled area and a section of T1 pavement with an 0.04 surface drainage layer.
